Remington model 1875 single action revolver, nickel plated, wood grips, serial #15039. .44-40 caliber, 7-1/2” barrel, with period beaded and fringed on buckskin holster. Old U.S. stamping on rear of butt. The revolvershows 70-80% original nickel that is evenly drifting and peeling and areas where nickel has lifted shows some dark patina with some just starting pinprick pitting and erosion. The pistol shows the backward or left-handaddress and has a lanyard in butt. The grips are good with traces of .44 marking on left, some slight varnish has been added but no sanding and at least very good. The original cylinder pin, ejector rod housing, and frontsight all remain. The hammer shows good traces of case hardening, the action is good, the bore very good and still bright. The holster shows good age and is made for this revolver showing Indian tanning and beadworkand is in good condition. The geometrics are probably Sioux from Northern plains and is a very attractive outfit. Est: $4,000 - $8,000
