Remington model 1866 .50 caliber rimfire commercial pistol, blue and case hardened finish, select burl wood stocks, no serial number. The pistol shows Naval anchor at breech, no inspection at right frame. Standard Remington markings on left bottom of frame. The pistol shows approx. 85-95% commercial grade finish barrel, evenly thinning and toning with some just starting age and some small storage type scratches. The frame shows 50-70% original case hardening, toning slightly with some spotting and darkening on top, minor pinprick pitting just starting but also some very good rainbow colors. The stocks show a select burl or striped grain with approx. 90% original varnish remaining, some minor scratches, slight wear at the edges, normal aging. The hammer and breech blog, small parts, show bright original finish. The action good, bore excellent. The prettiest stocks we have seen on this model. An unusually high grade model 1866. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
