Remington model 1861, .44 caliber percussion, US Army issue revolver in good to very good condition, serial #4731. The revolver remains in original good to very good condition showing strong traces of blue drifting tobrownish grey with some scattered erosion and pinprick pitting. Very good grips showing outline of cartouche, some minor edgewear, small nicks, mars, etc. The revolver shows a full complement of “A” and “J” inspections.Action is crisp, bore is dirty but looks like it will clean to at least very good, possibly excellent.
