Remington model 1858 New Model revolver showing 5-shot Rollin-White conversion to rimfire. Serial #139976 beneath lever, conversion #1823 on bottom of barrel in front of ramrod catch. The revolver remains ingood to very good original condition showing 10-20% original to the period old nickel finish which is evenly lifted and drifted to grey with some traces of original nickel still showing on the right side of the barrel and scattered areas of the frame. The grips are very good plus with visible cartouche, small losses at the edges. The barrel address is sharp, the edges are crisp, the bore is bright. The patent dates on the cylinder arewell defined. These large caliber conversions with patent markings on the cylinder are desirable to Remington and frontier collectors alike. Est: $1,750 - $3,500
