Remington Rolling Block model 1870 .50 caliber centerfire commercial, finely period deluxe scroll engraved in Nimschke style in checkered stocks, serial #1007. The pistol shows approx. 50-70% original drifting blue finish on barrel, some just beginning erosion and pinprick pitting, the frame show s75-85% case hardening, with some good rainbow colors on left, slightly drifting on right and straps. The checkered wood stocks are very good plus with some minor bumps, handling at the edges, very good plus to near fine overall. The small parts and screws show bright original finish. The inventory number KM642 is painted on the instrap indicating including inclusion in the Moldenhauer collection. Also from the Locke collection, Herrick collection, and Landskron collection.
