Remington Rolling Block Saddle Ring Carbine 43 Egyptian - RARE

This is another rare find - Here we present an antique Remington No. 1 Rolling Block Rifle,
made circa 1880 in Ilion, New York. The Rolling Block was just the ticket if you
want a simple, durable, powerful, and relatively inexpensive rifle for your military
in the late 1800s.
Chambered for the stout .43 Egyptian cartridge, this single shot rifle is marked with
the “Remington Pat Dec 31 1872" on hammer strap.
These rifles saw a long service life in a harsh environment.

The overall condition is good. The metal surfaces have a gray patina.
The markings are clear. There is a Crown stamped on the left side of the barrel band.
and a R on the left side of barrel and receiver.
The walnut stock shows lots of handling and remains solid.
Barrel is 20 1/2" long - The bore is bright with good rifling.
The action appears 100% functional.

This ALSO gun comes with 14 Rounds of Ammunition and another 5 brass casings.
