Remington Model 1861 Navy percussion revolver, .36 cal., 7-3/8” octagon barrel, wood grips, #16592. This gun is in overall good condition showing a grey patina on metal surfaces with scattered areas of erosion and pin prick pitting, good action and markings, dark bore, grips are fair showing scattered old nicks, mars, scratches and losses including old removed areas at the bottom of both grips reminiscent of the way some CivilWar soldiers and early Texas Rangers adapted their revolvers for the use of a lanyard.
