Remington Model 1861 Army percussion revolver, .44 cal., 8” octagon barrel, wood grips, #3092 in overall very good condition showing an even grey patina on metal surfaces, good action, and markings, fair to good bore, good grips withvisible inspector’s cartouche on left grip and some old chips to that grip and old knackering to the bottom of the grips; inspector initials as follows: J on left side of frame above hammer screw, SA on cylinder between two nipple wells, PA on left side of frame at cylinder well and on left barrel flat at breech and an S on the brass trigger guard behind the securing screw; accompanied by a two piece cardboard box with end label reading “REMINGTON MODEL 1861 ARMY REVOLVER” and containing a brass powder flask with dog and game bird scenes.
