Remington-Lee magazine bolt action 1885 U.S. Navy contract rifle, .45-70 cal., 32” barrel, blue finish, full length wood stock, sling swivels, cleaning rod, #50018 in overall good to very good condition showing a mostly brown patina on metal surfaces, crisp action, good bore and markings including U.S.N., anchor, No. 1827 and W.W.K. on top of receiver and a star around an H on the left side of the receiver and on the bolt; also an H on the left side of the barrel at the breech; the stock is in overall good condition with scattered mars and scratches from carry and storage; also stamped on the top of the butt stock is “PHILADELPHIA”; quantity produced for Navy contract of this model estimated at 1,500.
