Remington-Lee U.S. Navy Model 1879 bolt action magazine rifle, .45-70 cal., 29” barrel, wood stock, #914 in overall fair to good condition showing an old cleaning to metal surfaces, crisp action, good markings, fair only bore; wood is overall good with scattered nicks, mars and scratches from carry and storage; Naval inspector’s marks, proof and anchor present on left side of barrel at breech; only approx. 1,300 manufactured of this model for the Navy contract.
