Waddy Thompson, Esq., late envoy extraordinary and minister Plenipotentiary of the United States at Mexico, published in 1846 in New York & London by Wiley and Putnam, Recollections of Mexico, 304 pages, outlines the authors trip from New Orleans to Vera Cruz, Jalapa, Puebla, meeting Santa Anna even discussing his love of Cock-fighting, and addresses The California Question. There is condition issues with the book, corners bent, some of the book sides are damaged and the spine is split but the binding is still tight to the binder and sewing holds everything together. This a first edition of an old and rare book, selling with no reserve.
