Rare full side lock shotgun with key detachable locks by Joseph Lang & Sons 102 New Bond Street, London in 12 gauge with two sets of barrels in its original leather case with brass furniture, serial #15689. Thisbest quality London gun shows fine bank note scroll and floral engraving and remains in fine to near excellent original condition. The wood appears to be professionally refinished with checkering refreshed. Thefirst set of barrels measures 30” in length and shows 2-3/4” current proofs. The left barrel is choked .24 improved modified and the right barrel is choked .08 improved cylinder. The 28” set of barrels is choked.15 left light modified and the right is .08 improved cylinder. Both barrels show a low rise smooth rib and the gun is fitted with a factory single trigger and auto ejectors. The bores are bright and the gun locks tight. The stocks show a select grain with fancy burl and still fit up nicely to the metal with just minor scratches and handling marks. The trigger guard shows 90% bright robin’s egg blue finish.
