Rare combination flintlock and air ignition fowler signed Nicolaus Franzen A/Coblenz, circa late 18th century to early 19th century in untouched out-of-the-attic condition, approx. .41 caliber, 33” half round/halfoctagon barrel, engraved brass butt plate, trigger guard and left side of lock plate cover; raised carved wood half stock with air reservoir in butt, iron ramrod held by two brass ferrules; front cap to half stock notpresent; missing pump for air reservoir that is accessed thru the butt plate; unique firing mechanism that permits the gun to be operated via the flintlock hammer or as an air rifle needing slight restoration.
