Rare antique miniature arms display mounted on board circa 19th century formerly Jerry Trainlin’s miniature collection. The display features an early 17th century Pike Man’s armor with helmet and pole arms. The shieldportion of the display measures 19” by 14”. The spears measure 32” in length. The helmet measures 7-3/4” by 10” across the brim. The breast plate and tassets measure 13-1/2” from top to bottom and is roughly 1/3 scale. The metal work is very good showing quality construction and form with brass studs, leather straps and authentic styling. The condition is very good with a nice aged patina. Antique sets of miniature armour are quite rare and this is a quality collector’s grade antiquity. Only panope of arms we have seen. Est.;$2,500-$5,000.
