Rare U. S. marked Colt Model 1855 military musket, .44 cal. percussion, 31-5/16" barrel, blue finish, standard military type stocks, sling swivels, 2-leaf folding rear sight with genuine Colt tang sight and originalcleaning rod serial numbered 416. The rifle remains in very good+ to near fine original condition showing 90-95% original blue on barrel, slight losses at the edges, just beginning erosion and normal aging. Theframe shows 75-85% original blue, the cylinder shows 30-50% original blue. The cylinder shows sharp patent dates and the tang shows clear Colts patent US marking. The rear sight shows most of its originalblue as does the tang sight and bands. The stocks are near fine with just a couple of small storage and handling marks and a couple minor dings. The butt plate shows 75% original blue, the trap door in the buttplate is missing the brass small knob. The action is excellent, the interior shows little use. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
