Rare Short Barrel Colt House Model Cloverleaf Revolver
Manufactured in 1874. Blade front sight integral with the barrel, which is marked "COLT" on the left side. The top strap groove has the 1871 patent date and "41 CAL" is marked on the left side of the frame. The serial number is marked on the bottom of the barrel and on the butt. Distinctive 4-round cylinder, bird head grips, and ejector rod mounted in the cylinder pin.

Condition: Very good plus. The revolver retains 30% original blue finish with the overall balance a brown patina. There is some minor spotting, with some minor pitting on the cylinder (heavily concentrated on two chambers). The brass has an even aged patina with a contrasting patina on the cleaned side plate. The grips are fine with some minor dings and scratches, with much of the varnish remaining. Mechanically fine.
