Measuring 7 1/2 inches wide and 4 9/16 inches tall, this yellow card bears a raised gold embossed seal in the upper left corner, the spread winged Nazi Eagle over "ADOLPH HITLER", with "BERLIN," in the right next to the typed "im April 1942". (NOTE: machine assisted translation) "On the occasion of my birthday, you, your wife and all parties at Karinhall are invited to express your warm feelings for me, with my thanks." Below this text, in black ink, is the signature "A Hitler". Goering, World War I aviator, Reichsmarshall and head of the Luftwaffe, among other titles, made his home at Karinhall north of Berlin, a large hunting estate north of Berlin. Emily Goering was Hermann's second wife, and one of the claimants to the title of "First Lady of the Reich".
