Rare Late Production Winchester Model 1885 Takedown High Wall Single Shot Schuetzen Rifle with Scope
Produced in 1919, towards the end of the production run. Heavy #4 marked part octagon barrel, produced without sights, marked with the address, patent marks and caliber on the upper left flat, and a Winchester A5 long tube scope on top with adjustable mounts. Standard receiver markings, with a checkered hammer, double set triggers, and casehardened finger rest trigger guard. Fancy grain deluxe checkered stock, with a swiveling detachable palm rest on the Schnabel tip forearm and a Schuetzen profile pistol grip high comb stock with raised Tyrolean style cheekpiece and hooked Swiss buttplate.

Condition: Excellent, with 97% plus of the factory blue finish, showing the beginnings of a brown patina on the barrel, minimal edge wear and scattered light handling marks. Stock is very fine, with some cracking of the varnish, and scattered light pressure dents and scratches. Optics are slightly dim but clear. Mechanically excellent.
