The included factory letter confirms the serial number, caliber, barrel length and finish with the type of stocks not listed. The pistol was shipped on August 4, 1941 to the Argentine Naval Commission, August 5, 1941, Washington, D.C. as part of a 250 gun shipment. Left side of slide has the two line address/patent dates marking and right side of slide has the two line caliber marking with a rampant colt. "GOVERNMENT MODEL" over the serial number on right side of frame, "X" and "VP" proof on left side of trigger guard, and "73" on right side of trigger guard. Checkered grips and unmarked blue magazine.

Condition: Excellent as professionally restored with 98% of the correct style blue finish a few areas thinning to a gray on the frame. The markings are clear and distinct and the edges and corners are sharp and square. The grips are excellent with crisp checkering.
