Made in the style of a Zimmer-Scheutzen rifle. Brass tube sight with crosshairs on the barrel, with 2 extra dovetail cuts and "J. BANDLE/ 260 MAIN ST. CIN. O." on the top flat. Unmarked lock plate, with double set triggers, hand rest trigger guard and engraved screws. Skip-line checkered straight wrist stock with carved Schnabel tip, asymmetrical carved wavy lines on either side of the barrel, brass tack wrist decoration, silver inlay of a squirrel on a branch on the right and an engraved patriotic American shield on the left, with a nickel finished brass buttplate.

Condition: Fine, 40% original blue, showing a mixed plum/gray patina, and mild spotting and flaking on the nickel. Fine stock, with a few cracks, varnish loss and scratches. Crosshair damaged, otherwise the sight tube is good, showing an aged patina. Mechanically excellent.
