ROCK ISLAND MODEL1919A4 BY HALO MANUFACTURING.
Cal. 308. S# HB13036. Bbl. 24" There aren't many firearms from the military past of the United States that are as recognizable as the rectangular receiver & perforated bbl. shroud of the Browning 1919. In order to own a legal machine gun there are fees & a fairly lengthy amount of paperwork that aren't necessary for traditional, Title I firearms like hunting & target rifles. This particular Browning was mfg. by Halo Manufacturing & based on the war proven Rock Island Arsenal design as a functional semi auto. This gives you the opportunity to own such an exciting piece of history w/ out the unnecessary NFA time & expense. This firearm transfers just like any other semi auto firearm. The right sideplate states the model as a 1919 A4. Front sight is a folding post & rear sight is an elevation adj. ladder marked out to 1800 yards. Though this example is chambered in 7.62 NATO, common chamberings for this system also include 8 mm Mauser & U.S. 30-06. Parkerized finish on all exposed metal surfaces. Right sideplate markings include: "N.O. U.S. INSP. / BROWNING SEMI-AUTO GUN / U.S. CAL. 30. M1919 A4" / "MAN'FD BY ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL". Interior right sideplate markings include"M1919 CAL U.S.30 / HALO MFG. EUGENE OR. / SN: HB 13036". Original parts kit of unknown origin though several parts include Israeli markings which would be common for military .308 chambered military surplus parts. Base of right side plate stamped by former owner / builder. MAGS: 3 white cloth belts & 6 green cloth approx. 100 rds. in length + a handful of 30 caliber links. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: M2 Tripod with Pintle and T&E. CONDITION: everything appears functional & correct. Shiny bore w/ good rifling. Fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand. (23-2590/JZ). MODERN. $2,500-5,500.
