Cal. 30 RF. S# 2441. Bbl. 2 13/16" octagon with rib having semi circular blade sight. Mfg. 1875-1877; approx. 3,000 units. Unnumbered 5 rd. cyl. is 13/16" long. Smooth rosewood birds head grips and nickel plated (offered in silver plate too). Later variation (approx. 2,300) with fixed, non rotating recoil shield and proper stepped ejector rod. Unusual design were frame is split longitudinally with barrel integral to top half of revolver and spur trigger assembly in bottom; both matching numbered. CONDITION: very good to excellent appearance with minimal marks and occasional small spot of plating loss. Very good grips with some slight handling marks on right. Crisp, proper functioning action. Fair to good bore with areas of pitting. PROVENANCE: From the Lifelong Collection of Glen E. Mattox. (01-22450/NW). ANTIQUE. $300-400.
