, having tulips motifs done in "sgrafitto" (scratched in), having yellowish glaze, (cracked and peeling off in large portion of center of plate), diameter 11 5/8", underside unglazed, made by Samuel Troxell, 1833-1834, Ex-collection of Earl & Ida Robacher, illustrated p.106 "Touch of the Dutchland" (also authors of "Pennsylvania Dutch Stuff" et al. Geneology papers come with this plate. Condition: the wear of the glaze is from original owners use as she baked pies in it. (see reverse).
