"The following two Ross rifles were sent overseas with the CEF, then exchanged to the British for SMLE's. The British reissued them to the Royal Navy stamped with British ownership numbers, and they became part of the on board Armory of various warships. The battleship HMS Canada, was ordered by Chile prior to the start of WWI but not delivered. With the outbreak of war, the British appropriated the battleship. After the war, HMS Canada and several destroyers were sent to Chile, and their on board rifles and bayonets were included. The Chilean Navy renamed the battleship the Almirante Latorre, and stamped the Ross rifles with a DA Navy ownership number on the receiver. The bayonets were stamped to match the rifles. These rifles are early production, with CEF stamps, Royal Navy stamps, and Chilean Navy stamps."

CANADA BIDDERS: All Firearms and Ammunition sales will require a valid P.A.L. to purchase. Firearm registration applies to all restricted and prohibited firearms purchased for Canadians except firearms classified as antique and non-restricted. All restricted and prohibited firearms will have their transfer started on sale day.
U.S. and INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS: Have sole responsibility for their purchases. You and or your FFL may be required to file paperwork with the ATF in order to be able to import an item. Please check with your FFL and/or ATF regarding import of specific items.
Please note that we do not ship AMMUNITION to US or international buyers.
US Buyers will be charged a $50.00 administrative fee on all Firearms sales (EXCLUDING LOTS 1000 ANTIQUES). This is to cover our cost of the required Canadian paperwork to export the items to you. There may be additional fees charged by the US Government, ATF, and your FFL or broker to be able to receive your item.
Storage fees of $5.00 per item per month will be charged on all items that we have not received paperwork for within 120 days of the sale. If you are unable to complete the required paperwork within 1 year your lots will be sold at the next auction. You will be charged a commission on the resale.
