Available for bidding in this lot is a set of Rare 1984 Bean "Patrolman" - Iver Johnson Handcuffs. This set of handcuffs holds the second patent for the invention of the lock release mechanism. With a barely visible hinge stamp, a faint "T", followed by "PAT... 84" can be made out. These handcuffs invented by Bean, and later manufactured by Iver Johnson - the owner of Lovell Arms Manufacturing - differ from the Lovell marked set because the Bean utilizes a solid key, while the Lovell features a barrel key, and lock dust cover. This set of early nickel plate handcuffs are in good working condition, with functioning lock release. The key appears to be original. The handcuffs to exhibit some rust, which is no surprise at the age. When stretched out, the handcuffs measure 9" x 2 7/8".
