Purdy full side lock double barrel 12 gauge shotgun with two sets of barrels, 28 & 30” in Purdy leather over oak display case with trade label in lid, serial #19712. This was originally a two gun set but one rear endmissing. The barrels are nitro proofed for 2-1/2” shells and 1-1/4 ounce of shot and have been opened up to 2-3/4” barrel #1 shows a raised and hand filled non ventilated rib and is 30” in length, choked full and fullright. The #2 barrel measures 28” in length, shows a low profile tapered rib (non ventilated) choked cyl right modified left. The action is finely engraved in bank note scroll with floral motifs, the action issatin or coined finished and metal surfaces show and English quality refinish. The stock measures 14-5/8” from the front trigger to the checkered butt. Double triggers, auto ejectors, side clips etc. The stock showsapprox a ¾” drop at the comb ¼” drop at the heel with no cast.
