Offered for bidding on this lot is a 5/8" black leather belt lined with twenty-five Mercury dime conchos and topped off with a peace dollar belt buckle. This belt was handmade by Lawrence Archuleta of Taos Pueblo and displays excellent craftsmanship and smithing with excellent braising work to the coins themselves. The peace dollar is dated 1923, the mercury dimes date as early as 1937 and as recent as 1945. This belt is in good condition, only flaw being slight tarnish to the coins. The belt overall measures 58" long, with the widest eyelet measuring at 51", and the narrowest eyelet measuring at 33 1/4".
