This is one of approximately 4,946 rifles manufactured. Fixed front sight and Lyman fully adjustable rear peep sight mounted on the right rear of the receiver. The barrel is marked "S A/flaming bomb/4-27", with a star at the muzzle and two scope blocks on the barrel with a Winchester A5 scope mounted. The bolt is electropenciled to match the gun. Mounted on a smooth Model 1922 pistol grip stock that was hand bedded to the rifle. Two stock reinforcing bolts, one barrel band marked with a "U", a silver inlaid oval engraved "THE/NATIONAL GUARD TROPHY/WON BY/1st. Sgt. H. E. RILEY D.C.N.G./PRESIDENT'S MATCH/1927" between the sling swivel and grip cap and a checkered cupped steel buttplate. With a nickeled brass muzzle cover marked "MADE IN ENGLAND/FOR . P.J O'HARE".

Condition: Very fine as modified, 97% original blue finish with some high edge wear, some cycling wear and some thinning on the receiver, with holes drilled and tapped. The stock is very good having been shortened with some scattered minor scratches and dings. The scope is very good with some flaking and wear with clear optics.
