Red front bead and ivory mid bead sights on the rib, which is marked "R 411" on the underside, with full choke, 2 3/4 inch chamber, and the standard Winchester markings on the left side. The receiver is engraved on the left side "ORVAL VOORHEES/WINNER 1952/GRAND AMERICAN HANDICAP", and the underside of the magazine bears the engraved pigeon. The Grand American Handicap trap shoot took place on 24 August 1952 in Vandalia, Ohio. Deluxe checkered stock, with an extended forearm, black metal grip cap, raised Monte Carlo cheekpiece and a Morgan adjustable solid rubber recoil pad. Length of pull is 13 5/8 inches. Accompanying the shotgun are a number of items related to Mr. Voorhees, including 7 trophies, (1 has a clock as part of it) from various events, a number of publications, photos, the embroidered patch from the 1952 Grand American, numerous letters, some congratulating Mr. Voorhees on his win at the Grand American, and other personal items.

Condition: Very good as refinished, with 97% of the high polish custom blue finish, showing some minor edge wear and handling marks overall. Stock is good, with an unidentified yellow print on either side of the buttstock, strongest on the left, a black "ORV VOOHEES" label on the underside of the forearm, and a few minor dings and scratches. The action is excellent. The trophies are all good or better, some of the brass plaques have been removed.
