Pre-war J. J. Jeffery & Co. bolt action hunting rifle, finely engraved receiver, floor plate and trigger guard, .333 Jeffery cal., 24-1/2” barrel, blue finish, British proofed, hooded front sight, 5-stage rear sight with adjustable front stage, single trigger, sling swivels, checkered wood stock with checkered steel butt plate and 5-section cleaning rod in butt trap, accented ebony fore end cap, length of pull to end of butt plate is 14”, #23561. This gun is in overall fine condition showing the majority of its dark blue finish, with niter blue color on the extractor and exterior plate of the bolt release, fine bore, crisp action, sharp markings and fine wood stock with silver disc inlaid ebony semi-pistol grip end cap; as mentioned before, the engraving on this rifle is classic Germanic scroll and floral of the finest quality; the barrel has the QS trade mark and is of nickel steel construction.
