This shotgun was manufactured circa 1937. The barrels have a single steel bead sight, the bottom of the barrels are marked modified/full and the chambers are 2 3/4 inches with an extractor. The barrels are stamped with the first style markings with the right barrel marked "MODEL 21" next to "--Winchester--/TRADE MARK" next to "12 GAUGE" and the left barrel marked "MADE IN U.S.A. WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO./--NEW HAVEN. CONN.--PATENTS PENDING--". Mounted on a multi-point checkered walnut splinter forearm and pistol grip stock with checkered plastic buttplate. Length of pull is 14 inches. With a leather mutton case.

Very fine, 90% plus of the original blue finish remains with some scattered minor freckling, some high edge wear and some muzzle wear. The wood is very fine with scattered scratches and dings. Mechanically fine. The case is good with some scuffing, scratches and a few spots of loose stitching. An original pre-war example like this is hard to come by!
