Produced in 1922, as part of the post World War I production run of the Colt Single Action Army revolver. Blade and notch sights, with the one line Hartford address on top of the barrel and "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER 44-40" roll stamped on the left side. Rear of the cylinder face carries the matching last two digits of serial numbers (97). The left side of the frame is marked with the two line, three date patent markings followed by the circled Rampant Colt trademark. Interior of trigger guard and rear grip strap carry the matching number, 344297. Loading gate has the assembly number "956". Checkered Fleur-de-Lis grips with decorative diamond shaped panels and Rampant Colt medallions at the tops.

Condition: Very fine, with 90% plus of the original blue finish, showing light scratches and handling marks overall, along with some bright edge wear and the formation of a gray patina on the grip straps. Some minimal edge wear is present on the frame, which is otherwise covered in 95% vivid, attractive original case coloring. Grips are professional quality modern reproductions, with a few minor pressure dents on the crisp checkering and a tiny amount of varnish loss. Mechanically excellent.
