This is a very fine example of a post-WWI commercial rework that was subsequently reworked by the Simson factory and then pressed into service by the early Nazi Army. This specific Luger started out as an early 1920 commercial that has the standard commercial features such as the Commercial Crown N proof on various parts and was probably chambered in 7,65 Luger. In the early to mid 1920s it was rebarreled by the Simson factory in 9mm as evidenced by the Eagle 6 proof on top of the barrel. Subsequent to that, probably in the early 1930s it was then reproofed again with an early Nazi eagle "MG10" firing proofs, on the right side of the barrel, barrel extension and again on the underside of the barrel above the bore diameter. It has a blank chamber area with the DWM logo on the first toggle. Visible numbers on pistol match. It is complete with one all blue magazine with the aluminum base that is numbered "593s/+". It has a rust blued metal finish with straw colored small parts with checkered walnut grips.
BBL: 4 inch round
Stock:
Gauge: 9 mm Luger
Finish: blue/straw color
Grips: walnut checkered
Serial Number: 593s
Condition: Very fine with 95% of the Arsenal refurbished blue with wear on the edges and high spots with some thinning on the back strap and stock lug area. The various small parts retain 60% of the straw colors overall. The walnut grips are in fine condition overall with nice distinct checkering on both sides with the left side showing a little more even honest wear across the tops of the checkering. Mechanically excellent. As noted this Luger has all matching numbered including the Arsenal numbered magazine.
