Pocket-size flintlock pistol probably American-made circa early 19th century with typical American colonial motifs. The pistol measures approximately 9 ½” overall with 4 ½” barrel of approximately .52 caliber smooth. Thepistol is full stocked to the muzzle in a good quality Walnut showing a light burl. The trigger guard shows an acorn finial and simple American style engraving on the trigger guard, lock plate with accent engraving on the tang and the barrel.A horn tip ramrod is included. The condition is very good plus to near fine. The action works well. We would date this pistol 1790 to 1820. Est.: $600-$1200
