The lot features a Plateau American Indian style quilled and beaded flat bag that shows two deer animal effigy figures. The bag shows an Indian tanned hide construction with fancy beaded glass trade pony beaded border in cobalt with the front showing all mineral dyed porcupine quillwork in red and yellow. The quillwork shows two Deer figures. The bottom of the bag shows a long hand cut Indian tanned hide fringe with a row of 19 rolled tin jingle cones accented by matching dark red / maroon dyed horsehair. The top strap is also covered in quillwork, but is not attached, along with the two drops which shows quillwork, rolled jingle cones and dyed horsehair. The bag is in overall good condition and measures 13" x 5 1/4". From the Sarah Alling Collection.
