The lot features a bi-point stone head war club that is completely covered in Indian tanned hide and beadwork from the Plains Native American Indians. The piece shows a banded geometric pattern done in glass trade seed beads. The stone head has a rounded bi-point or two point shape with dark coloring and is secured to the wood haft handle with a band wrap of Indian tanned hide which is further adorned with beadwork, as well as a fancy beaded border. The handle is covered in Indian tanned hide which is then further covered in beadwork and shows an Indian tanned hide tie at the top and beaded tail drop at the base. The gripping area is bare of beadwork, exposing the beautiful thick Indian tanned hide. The piece also has an additional drop of hide covered horsetail hair. The hide is all likely Great American Bison Buffalo hide and buckskin hide. This piece dates to the 20th Century and displays beautifully. Measures overall 24"L with an additional 7.5"L drop and the head is 3 7/8" x 2.5" x 2".*
