Available in this lot for bidding is a Plains Native American Indian Sheffield Bowie Knife. The heavy knife utilizes a bone handle with an exceptional brass guard and rivets. The knife is housed in a polychrome beaded sheath, constructed of tanned leather hide and featuring yellow, sky blue, navy blue, and forest green trade seed beads, as well as eight rolled tin jingle cones. The knife blade reads "Sheffield 2". The knife showcases heavy, warm patina, but has a tight, sharp blade. The knife inside of the sheath measures approximately 22" long3 1/4" wide, and 1" thick at the guard.
