The lot features a steer horn club dance rattle that is fully beaded and is from the Plains Native American Indians. The piece shows two steer horns pointed down secured with Indian tanned hide on the wood haft handle which is beautifully covered in banded geometric glass trade beadwork. The top has a yellow yarn strand. The bottom shows a gripping area exposing the Indian tanned hide as well as a tail drop of hide which is covered in glass trade beads. The bottom also has a dangle drop of Indian tanned hide with horsetail hair dyed yellow / orange. The steer horns have small items, likely rocks inside which when shook give a nice rattle sound. Measures overall 23.5"L with an additional 7"L drop. The horns are approx. 9"W.
