The lot features a fully beaded sheath attributed to the Plains Native American Indian tribes with a silver pewter inlaid trade knife. The trade knife shows a one piece carved walnut grip which is inlaid with two five-pointed star’s and acorn symbols with a one-piece bolster all of a silver pewter. The trade knife has an old skinning blade. The trade knife dates to the 1800’s. The sheath shows a parfleche rawhide construction which is covered in Indian tanned hide which is sinew sewn. The front of the sheath is covered in wound glass pony beads of padre sky blue, greasy yellow, red and cobalt in a traditional geometric design. The sheath has three drops of fringe and ties which are accented by brass and wound glass padre beads. The top of the sheath shows a wood peg. The knife measures overall 8.75”L with a 4.5”L blade. The sheath is 16”L with the fringe by 3.75”W.
