Philadelphia derringer marked J.E. Evans on barrel in good original condition. The mid-sized derringer measures 5-3/4” overall with 1-7/8” barrel of approximately .46 caliber rifled. The derringer is full stocked and shows engraved German silver mounts with engraved lock and breech. The metal surfaces show a brown patina with some light erosion and minor pitting. The stocks are good with normal wear and minor imperfections. Theactions is good and generally good overall. J.E. Evans was a prominent maker in Philadelphia who was known for his dueling pistols, rifles and derringers. Est.; $1,200-$2,400
