Pewter tankard, top inscribed “Mayor’s Cup” in script with beautiful hand engraved portrait of American Eagle and Shield. The bottom inscribed in same script, “Prize drill Co. H, 8th Infantry, MVM (Mass VolunteerMilitia) Won by Cpl. W.J. Hoppe, Feb. 14, 1907”. The tankard is marked “Reed & Barton” numbered 0240S. The tankard measures 12-3/8” in height x 5-3/8” across the center of base. The condition is good with a few dents andnormal aging. Est.: $400-$800.
