Featured in this lot are two vintage food containers, Pettijohns Rolled Wheat & Raymond C. Stone Honey from Whitefish, Montana circa 1920-40s. The Pettijohns container, circa 1920s, shows a cylindrical shape with red coloring and features a bear logo on the front. The container reads, "Pettijohns / Rolled Wheat With All The Bran / Cooks in 3 to 5 minutes / Manufactured by The Quaker Oats Company". The back of the container shows instructions on how to cook it. This container shows good condition overall with only the only tear being from opening the container. The honey container, packed and guaranteed by Raymond C. Stone, was made in Whitefish, Montana on a five acre farm. The paper tag tells the buyer if they can prove that this isn't all natural honey, the suppliers will pay 100 dollars. The tag also gives the buyer instructions on how to liquefy the honey again if it crystallizes. The container shows good condition overall with wear from its age and use but no signs of obvious damage are noted. The Pettijohns container measures 7 3/16" L x 4 3/16" in diameter, while the Raymond C. Stone honey container measures 5 5/8" L x 5" in diameter. The collective weight of both containers is 8 ounces.
