Period custom target rifle on engraved Ballard action in .25 caliber wildcat cartridge which a #32 Ideal cartridge is necked to .25 caliber. Barrel is marked “A. O. Zischang” showing fancy lever, Nimschkeengraved action, replaced forend with ebony and ivory palm rest, period deluxe custom burl walnut schutzen style stock. 30-1/2” half-octagon barrel, hooded front sight, Pope type adjustable rear sight mounted withscope blocks. Serial #14606. The condition is very good showing approx. 80-90% toning blue to brown finish on barrel, action and buttplate show 75-85% old nickel finish, some erosion and slight pitting where the nickelhas lifted. The stocks are very good as refinished. The bore is fine to near excellent. There is also a inlet in the barrel with two drill and tap holes for forward scope mount which measures approx.16” from the breech. From the Robert Petersen Collection. Est: $3,000- $6,000
