Period copy of a Smith & Wesson First Model DA Frontier revolver, marked for .44 Winchester cartridge on top of barrel rib with Belgium behind cartridge mark. The condition is good with traces of blue; goodbore, action not quite working, grips good with one chip to right bottom. A period American Western style double loop holster made for this pistol is included. Colts cost $17 and Remingtons cost more whereas Belgiumimports cost a few bucks; Cowboys and Frontiersmen bought what they could afford and many of these type revolvers are seen in 19th century photographs of Western pioneers.
