Period copy of Whitney police-size revolver, .32 rimfire caliber, 5-shot cylinder, no visible serial numbers. Interesting striped wood grips that look like they were made of wood found in the Southern United States. The triggerguard is made of brass, somewhat crude as is the trigger, and the triggerguard is a good deal larger than a Whitney. There is a great deal of porosity in the casting from poor metallurgy. There is a serial #9beneath the grips. A very unusual pocket revolver that is of the Civil War era and American made, and has some southern characteristics. An interesting pistol found in Florida, should be further researched.Est: $400 - $800
