Percussion half stock target rifle, .41 cal., 32” heavy octagon barrel marked “Js Harmon, Sulphur Springs, Ohio”, with false muzzle , double keyed wood stock with brass patchbox, trigger guard and butt plate; silver inlays with large piercedsilver inlay on underside of forend engraved with the Union Shield; back action lockplate marked “Henry Parker Warranted”. This gun is in overall very good condition with a grey patina to barrel, good action with double set triggers working attime of description; very good wood stock showing considerable varnish remaining; hooded front sight and accompanied by tang sight that includes interesting Civil War coin dated 1863; “The Flag of Our Nation” on one side; “If Anybody Attemptsto Tear It Down, Shoot Him on the Spoot (sp)” on the obverse. Consignor paperwork notes “Barrel re-cut 1963 @ $30. (Antique). Est.: $1,000-$2,000.
