Percussion belt buckle gun with lanyard firing device displayed in glass case and this particular example pictured pg. 152 “Firearms Curiousa” by Winant ex. Stanley Jacobs collection. The belt measures 32-1/4” and is approx 2-1/2” wide with a brass buckle and fashioned in such a way that a cord lanyard is concealed around its girth. The lanyard fires a small cannon type barrel which approx 45 caliber and 1-1/2” in lengthwhich is mounted on a 6-1/2” steel plate with exposed hammer and sear. The metal shows light to moderate pitting. The belt is good with normal leather aging and cracking. We believe this to be the original which manycopies were made from in the early 1960’s. From an old N.Y. collector’s estate. Est.;$2,500-$5,000.
