Here is a two-year-old worth a second look. Pays To Be French is a smooth moving, quick footed colt that is built right and he is beautiful. Sire, Irish Pay, the good young son of Paddys Irish Whiskey, produces colts that are smart, easy to train and pretty. This colt is all that and has an exceptional bottom side. Special French Lady comes from the Frenchmans Topaz mare line – one of Loiseau’s best mares. Frenchmans Topaz had two full brothers that were world class barrel horses and has produced multiple barrel futurity and rodeo winners. Crossing Frenchmans Topaz with Special Effort only increased the speed to this great mare line. With the great sires Peppy San Badger, Special Effort and Frenchmans Guy on his papers this young horse is destined for greatness. This standout young horse is being trained by Gideon Lucey.
