Parker 8ga double-barrel Damascus steel shotgun with concealed hammers, browned and case hardened finish, checkered wood pistol grip stock, serial #172527. The gun is marked GH for grade, and “2” for frame size. The gun shows 34” Damascus pattern barrels which show 50-70% of their pattern with most of the original browning and some areas of light to heavy pitting, particularly on the rear 6” of barrels. Otherwise barrels are very good with just a couple spots. The frame shows 20-30% original case hardening within a grayish patina. The bores are good. The gun shows standard extractors, and the stocks have been professionally refreshed, checkering sharpened. The Parker measures 13-7/8” to the end of the wood, 14” to the end of the hard-rubber Parker buttplate. The buttplate shows a large chip at the bottom edge. These large frame 8-gauges are fairly scarce in the Parker series with estimates of 700-1,000 made. Est: $6,000-12,000.
