For your consideration is a collection of three Papago Indian hand woven baskets circa 1950s. The Papago Tohono O'odham (People of the Desert), are located in Arizona and are known for their weaving skill. The set shows geometric patterns, black devil's claw rim stitching with nice tight weaving of yucca and bear grass in very good well-preserved condition. The condition of these baskets are good showing no deficiencies in the weave or in the integrity of the baskets themselves; showing no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of these baskets with the smallest measuring 3 1/2" by 3 1/2", the medium sized measuring 8 3/4"x 2"x 4 1/2" and the largest measuring 9" x 2" x 5 1/4".
